Alex teaches History, English language, Literature, and Spanish language. A former Oxford University lecturer and research fellow, Alex also conducted admissions interviews at Oxford for 7 years, for several colleges, and he is now our principal admissions consultant at Hertford, providing specialized training on admissions essays, personal statements and how to excel at interview. Several of his students have gained admission to Oxbridge.
Having tutored extensively at both secondary and tertiary level, Alex is experienced at guiding students through the difficult transition between school and university. Alex teaches IB Diploma, A-Level, IGCSE and AP qualifications. He is a registered IB Examiner.

Winner of two prestigious Gibbs Prizes for academic achievement in History and in Spanish at Oxford.

Extensive experience of teaching English and History in both Hong Kong and the UK, for the IB, A-level (GCE), and IGCSE syllabuses.
